OUR TEACHING STYLES

Different styles work for different people regarding various life situations and conditions. However anyone can try our classes, modifications and variations are always given to encourage students to try new classes and get you out of your comfort zone.

Aerial Yoga - Aerial yoga and fitness is a unique combination of yoga, acrobatics and aerial dance. Revolutionary in relieving compressed joints and re aligning the body from head to toe. The aerial silk acts as a soft support which helps you face your fears with inversions and assists you in more complex poses and shapes while you stretch the whole body and helps with overall body conditioning.

Please note: Pre-registration required as limited silks, if you fail to attend or cancel within 2 hour late notice period you will not be refunded.

Hatha Classical - Hatha yoga gives a gentle introduction to the most basic yoga postures including the classical version of Surya Namaskara performed at the beginning of each class. It is relatively slow making it a great class for beginners or students who prefer a more relaxed style where they hold poses longer. Because poses are held longer, greater emphasis is given on alignment and explaining techniques to guide students through the class with ease helping them feel longer, looser and more relaxed.

Ashtanga Vinyasa - A dynamic and physically demanding yoga style working on synchronising the breath and movement to produce an internal heat also known as the Ujayii breath. The Ujayii breath is used specifically in this practice to purify the body, release toxins and increase concentration. Ashtanga yoga, with its many vinyasas, is great for building core strength and toning the body. Ashtanga always performs the exact same poses in the exact same order.

Vinyasa Flow - A fluid movement intensive practice that links movement and breath together focusing on smooth transitioning from pose to pose and allowing each movement to be guided by an inhalation or exhalation . The intensity of this practice is similar to Ashtanga but no two vinyasa classes are the same. This is a great class if you don't like routine and love to test your physical limits.

Yin - Yin Yoga allows you to work the other half, the deeper “yin” tissues of the ligaments, joints, deep fascia and even bones. Focusing on passive, seated postures to target the connective tissues in the hips, pelvis, lower spine and shoulders. Poses are held anywhere between 1 and 10 minutes using props such as bolsters, straps and blocks. The aim is to increase flexibility and encourage a feeling of release and letting go.
